Failure is not an optionWe monitor reporting requirements, including retirement reports. Electronic file? Hard copy? Yes and Yes! We’ll walk you through setup - you just close the books and run the reports. No more late-night, last-minute scrambling to meet deadlines.
In many ways, the accounting, budgeting, and reporting responsibilities of K-12 schools and municipal governments far exceed the requirements demanded of the commercial sector. In governmental accounting, revenues are generated to achieve specific objectives, resulting in the need to maintain many sub-sets of records to facilitate reporting and accountability. Moreover, annual reports must not only comply with national standards, but also with state mandated reporting requirements. And as expected, national and state reporting requirements change often, which creates yet more challenges for government accounting systems.
One of our highest priorities is to maintain and revise state reports - it's one of our largest and continuous programming undertakings. With BudgetSense reports in your toolkit, meeting your state's requirements is a click or two away.
To make sure we get them right, we establish and maintain relationships with key state personnel. If we don’t hear from them for a while, we shout out a request to confirm our compliance with state standards. We are also grateful to our clients who often have an inside edge on reporting developments in each state. The information they share with their Service Account Manager (SAM) is documented and passed along to the reporting team. Occasionally, a quick response is needed, due to last-minute communications from state agencies. Before we release, we test new and updated reports in-house and at client sites to confirm compliance and accuracy.
