Payroll Changes for Release 2.1.15
New Security Features to Configure; Prepare for 2.2.xx Changes

Change is a good thing; especially if it makes your daily tasks easier to complete.

In BudgetSense v3, we are looking forward to the summer release of Build 2.2. It will contain a new Payroll design, in which the functions of several windows will be consolidated into fewer more efficient displays. This evolution will end all the flipping from window to window you have to do now to configure and assign positions, process contracts, and review or update payroll data.

To prepare for this release, there are some new security settings to consider. Because payroll and human resources-related functionality will move to different windows, the user security accounts you have in place now will have to be updated. With the pending release of 2.1.15, you will be able to make these changes, with plenty of time to spare before we release 2.2.

The security changes you make now will not take effect in any way until 2.2 is installed - we just want to give you a head start!

Right now, we are training our support team to help you with the decisions you will have to make. Very shortly, they will announce a schedule of iLinc sessions to introduce Payroll User Roles (the security changes) to you. And this week, we will begin to post information in the UniFund Knowledge Base for your review.

Don't worry - we'll have you up and running in the new Payroll in no time!

Don't panic!

Your Service Account Manager will help you through each step of the transition in Payroll. And, the Knowledge Base will be your best resource, 24/7, for the latest training materials and troubleshooting instructions to help you adopt these truly beneficial changes.
