Nashua, July 25, 2008: UniFund LLC announced today its selection as the winning vendor for the state-wide financial information system for Rhode Island’s K-12 schools. The award creates an agency agreement which entitles any public school district in the state to contract with UniFund for the implementation of its server-based financial management software, training, and continuing support services. The selection follows enactment of a new uniform chart of accounts that was enacted by RIDE to provide standardized accountability for all public school.
“Essential to our selection was the ability of our software to handle RIDE’s sophisticated 33-digit account code and to report on any level of expenditure or performance. Our FTE-based wage and salary controls, and workflow technologies that produce paperless budget checking approvals, offer an up-to-the-minute tool set for improving financial and operating controls,” said Roger Melanson, a founding Partner of UniFund.
