Heads Up: SQL Server 2000 and Server 2000 End of Life Notice

Last month, we mailed a letter to every client site to notify you that we will be unable to support the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Server 2000 IT platforms beyond December 31, 2010.

There are two factors that led to this decision:

• Microsoft already ended mainstream support for these IT operating platforms over two years ago, and has announced an impending end to extended support as well.
  
  
• UniFund applications (BudgetSense and RevenueSense) are evolving to take full advantage of current and future technologies. This includes a transition to .Net technology, which is not fully compatible with SQL Server 2000.

For future reference and technology planning, please note that we will provide support for Microsoft platforms until they discontinue mainstream support.

We included a platform inventory survey with the announcement; we urge you to forward that document to your IT department . Please complete and return the survey to us, so that we can better collaborate with you as you budget and plan for this mandatory IT platform upgrade.
