Ron Tarro, the Director of Administration and Finance for Barrington Public Schools, has been looking for ways to improve operational efficiencies in the Barrington School District ever since they went live with BudgetSense. Besides the obvious areas of improvement such as emailing direct deposit receipts and purchase orders, Ron investigated ways to improve employee document handling.
Prior to BudgetSense, all employee documents were stored and created off-line in Microsoft Word. Each form was pre-populated only with employee name - it was up to the employee to complete the rest of the form. Often, forms came back incomplete, illegible, and / or inaccurate - which meant the HR department had to chase down employees for corrections. This constant waste of time and effort greatly reduced the HR staff's overall productivity.
They needed an automated way to generate forms with pre-populated employee data whenever possible, so employees would only have to add new information and make corrections as needed.
Ron found the answer in BudgetSense Human Resources. It took less than a day to develop and test his forms and documents plan. As form templates were drafted, tested, revised and approved, they were added to the Employee Forms menu. HR staff can print them as needed, and all the appropriate employee content fields within those forms are already filled in with accurate and legible information.
Thanks to this simple workflow, Barrington HR can now focus on other tasks that previously went by the wayside because there wasn't enough time to complete them.
