Last November, we notified you that as of December 31, 2010, we would no longer be able to support either the SQL Server 2000 or Windows Server 2000 platforms on which some of you still run our software solutions.
The reason for this decision is simple: Microsoft no longer supports these environments.
If Microsoft will not provide support or fixes to reported issues, we can not continue to support your use of these environments.
In the November notice, we asked you to complete and return a platform survey. Thankfully, most of you have complied with this step, although there are still a few dozen clients who have not responded. If you have not yet returned the survey, we ask that you do so, as soon as possible.
We also asked that you budget and prioritize this platform upgrade, to ensure that your mission-critical UniFund applications keep humming right along.
And finally, when your IT upgrade plan is approved, please schedule the project immediately with us, so that we can avoid last-minute resource conflicts. Your timely response will help us help you complete the project with as little turmoil and anxiety as possible.
If you have any questions about this reminder, or if you aren't sure what you need to do to begin, please contact your UniFund salesperson or our IT director, Scott Hansford.
