Simplify processes; utilize the full potential of your software.
As we debriefed on another successful Idea Summit season, it became apparent that the ExcelSense presentation with Sean Lalley and Sean Marlow was one of the more popular sessions. They introduced recent improvements to ExcelSense, our custom report bridge to Excel.
Not sure what ExcelSense is all about?
Imagine the benefits of entering all your financial data in BudgetSense, and then assembling and publishing all the reports you need directly to Excel from there. Not only can you save time - no more data maintenance in multiple programs, and reconciling between them - but you also eliminate the possibility of reporting incorrect figures. How much time do you spend now, checking BudgetSense totals against data you manually input into Excel to generate reports? It adds up!
In the latest release (2.4.52), we updated ExcelSense in direct response to your feedback - it's a powerful tool, but you told us that we could make it better. The result is an even easier-to-use export tool that populates spreadsheet report templates with real time financial data from BudgetSense.
Here's what you'll find in the new release:

- You can now categorize ExcelSense jobs to easily identify the jobs that require maintenance from year to year. We've also added a Fiscal Year sort to help you organize all your jobs.
- A new mass update feature lets you update multiple jobs or multiple line items on a job at one time - a huge time saver.
- After you have created ExcelSense jobs in one connection group, you can now copy them to others. No need to set up the same or similar jobs more than once.
- And a very popular enhancement - now, you can use budget column data from a specific date range, as well as from the entire fiscal year.
ExcelSense is already available to you, in the Tools application group in BudgetSense. Please contact your Service Account Manager if you need assistance to access the application.
Also, join Sarah Carignan on November 5, for a brief overview of ExcelSense, via iLinc. (All the meeting details are in the SAM iLinc Schedule in the Knowledge Base.) Plus, we are updating the ExcelSense video that is currently available in the Knowledge Base, to include all these improvements.
UniFund also offers one-on-one ExcelSense training either via an iLinc session, or for a day onsite, depending upon your reporting needs.
